During the 2024–2025 school year, OAF and Nor Arar Educational NGO collaborated to

implement a unique literacy programme across 10 schools in the Lori region. This initiative

aims to foster a love of reading among children by donating children's literature to school

libraries and establishing vibrant after-school reading clubs.

The program targets children aged 10 to 16, offering them a welcoming space to engage with

literature beyond the classroom. Led by teachers and librarians, the reading clubs encourage

participants to explore books together, express their thoughts and feelings, and reflect on

what resonates with them or sparks their curiosity. Through this initiative, the program not

only promotes literacy but also helps build communication skills, empathy, and a lifelong

love of reading.
